Today's Weather: Flash Freeze

If you want to get out and enjoy today's high temperature reading do it now because we are at it, folks. It's all downhill from here as the gray skies outside bring with them freezing drizzle and some snow. The Chicago area is under a heavy freezing spray warning until midnight. The temperatures, meanwhile, will plummet rapidly to the teens this afternoon and single digits this evening. Overnight expect lows at or near zero degrees, if we don't reach negative digits. This sets the stage for some brutal Arctic air over the next 7-10 days. Welcome to the cusp of 2014, everyone. Bundle up.
