Some of you may have the rest of the week off but for the majority of us it's back to dressing in layers, cursing the neighbors who are shoveling out their dibs but not their sidewalks and learning to write "2014" on checks and stationery. It's a merry yet gray day outside right now—something about snow brings out the best in us. Steve Dahl tweeted earlier the ghost of Ed Schwartz wanted him to ask you about snowfall totals. Let's not and just assume there's a lot of it out there.

And there's still more to come if both Skilling Central and Accuweather are correct. We're already at Accuweather's forecast high of 21 degrees and the mercury is going to slowly fall once the winds shift to the northwest and begin gusting. Make sure you're warm tonight if you have to travel. The overnight lows are expected to plummet to -10 degrees in the outlying suburbs. If you have Tom & Jerry batter, use it.
