We've made it to the midweek so let's look at things through rose-colored glasses today. Most of the polar vortex is behind us and Chicago is beginning to look less like Siberia and more like the Chicago in winter with which we have a love-hate relationship.

The current official readings out of O'Hare are above zero and the winds are light, meaning today's forecast high in the teens will feel like we're in the teens as a new weather front sets the stage for some sloppy thawing as we head into the weekend. Expect some afternoon snow flurries and afternoon lows in the single digits as Old Man Winter primes the pump for highs in the 20s Thursday.
