Celebrity Chefs Spoof Cubicle Life At Food & Wine

By Melissa Wiley in Food on Jan 22, 2014 4:00PM

Food & Wine has recently revamped its magazine while taking on six celebrity chefs as consultants for its new “Chefs-in-Residence” series. Grant Achatz, Hugh Acheson, Mario Batali, David Chang, Eric Ripert, and Andrew Zimmerman all weigh in on monthly features, recipes and travel tips. But haute cuisine and office life rarely pair well. Feeding fresh pasta through the paper shredder can get kind of messy, and it's hard to eat local when you're refueling on vending machine fare.

To see for yourself, Food & Wine has created a video documenting the discrepancies between creation in the kitchen and the daily office grind. Our favorite moment? When the cutest Mast brother shows off his tattoo to Hugh Acheson, explaining, “It’s a cocoa pod, to remind us that chocolate is food, not candy.” So not a total spoof.
