Bulls 89, Bobcats 87

Perhaps still smarting from the lashing they took from the Clippers the other day, the Bulls defense stepped it up and helped Chicago to a close victory over the Bobcats. D.J. Augustin scored a season-high 28 points, while also hitting half of his attempted 3-pointers. Recall that 3-pointers were the way that the Clippers clipped the Bulls the other day. The Tribune quotes coach Tom Thibodeau as saying, "As long as we come out on top, I love it." Our sentiments to a T.

DePaul 69, Seton Hall 86

Meanwhile, a DePaul basketball team down on three starting players lost decisively to Seton Hall. The Blue Demons faced a 20-point deficit after the first half, and quite frankly never recovered. This despite the best efforts of R.J. Curlington, who scored more points in Saturday's game than he had the entire season. So, if nothing else, accentuate the positive.
