2014_1_29_Marco.jpg Harris Theater’s Eat to the Beat lunchtime series offers a different way for folks working in the Loop to spend their lunch hour—by taking in some performance art while grabbing a quick bite. Tonight they expand the series with food trucks and signature cocktails for more of a happy hour inspired event.

The Harris welcomes DanceWorks Chicago for a special performance. The company lost one of their members just two weeks ago when dancer Marco Huicochea Gonzales was killed in a freak accident during a rehearsal break. The current cast will be joined by DWC alumni to dedicate the evening’s performance to Gonzales’ memory with works from Francisco Avina, Autumn Eckman, Joshua Manculich and Harrison McEldowney.

Eat (and Drink) to the Beat begins Thursday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. DanceWorks’ performance begins at 5:30pm. Tickets are $5. 205 E. Randolph Dr.
