We enter the penultimate day of a bitter cold month with what can best be described as another respite from arctic air. But today's forecast will only set the stage for another round of cold air next week and we have snow coming beginning later this morning. Expect 1-2 inches of the white stuff to fall throughout the afternoon, which Streets and San should be able to handle. The high should reach freezing and these gray skies we're laboring under this morning will remain in place throughout the day.

What you do need to be on the lookout for is drifting snow. the winds out of the southwest could gust up to 30 mph. Do be careful out there.
