Hubbard Street Dance And The Second City Join Forces

Hubbard Street Dance and The Second City announced a surprising collaboration yesterday for a new production: The Second City Guide to Dance. Inspired by the success of The Second City Guide to the Opera last year, Hubbard Street's Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton and The Second City's Executive VP Kelly Leonard decided to join forces for another installment that will premiere in October opening Hubbard Street's 2014-15 season.

While still very much in the beginning stages, we got to take a look at what they're working on last night and as you might expect, we're in for some laughs. The Guide will take a humorous peek inside the world of dance with examples like 'a day in the life of a Second City performer' as expressed by dancers.

The Second City Guide to Dance will premiere October 16, 2014 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.
