Today's Weather: Not A Drill

Sometime in late May when we're finally clear of arctic winds and side streets caked in snow up to our ankles we promise we'll burn our winter clothes in a bonfire in the backyard in some purification ceremony (or because we're firebugs). Keep the fleece, flannel, corduroy and long johns at the ready for the next week, however as winter wants to take a bite out of our collective ass once again. Skilling Central says today's forecast high of 8 degrees is 26 degrees below normal. While it's nice to have the sun shining down the lack of cloud cover means we'll feel every single bit of that mercury reading. Coupled with subzero wind chills and you have a recipe for cabin fever. If you are playing hooky today these would be ideal conditions to stomp a mudhole in your Netflix, Hulu Plus or other streaming movie queues; my Criterion Collection queue on Hulu Plus needs some culling.
