Good news for Chicago’s local comedy scene and comedy nerds looking for the next big thing. The Lincoln Lodge has found a new home at Subterranean in Wicker Park for both its Friday night showcases and its ongoing comedy show, “The Blackout Diaries.” The Lincoln Lodge, long an incubator for up and coming comedians across Chicago, lost its former home in the Lincoln Restaurant in North Center in December when the diner’s owners decided to abruptly close (and didn’t want anyone to know about it).

The move to SubT gives The Lincoln Lodge a better overall space with easier access via public transit in a high traffic neighborhood. Additionally, there will be a full bar and food menu with no drink minimums. The Lincoln Lodge shows will run 8 p.m. Fridays while The Blackout Diaries run 8 p.m. Saturdays with doors opening one hour prior. Tickets to performances are available at the Lincoln Lodge and Subterranean websites or at the door.
