A few years back I attended a wedding of two friends in the shadows of Rocky Mountain National Park. Traveling during the Independence Day holiday was more than mitigated by the sights, sounds and scents of Colorado in summer and the friendship of the bride, groom and their families.

The U.S. Department of the Interior asked people to send them photos and videos of proposals and weddings at national parks, wildlife refuges and other public lands.
