Whether you're going out to dinner or dancing or staying in and ordering pizza and chianti, today's forecast—especially tonight—is ideal for snuggling. We won't see a repeat of Thursday's warmth as the mercury will top out in the mid-20s along with a lot of clouds. The winds will shift to the northwest this evening, sending temperatures plummeting into the single digits—a reminder that winter will not leave quietly. The weekend weather will hold in the mid-20s throughout the weekend before the warming trend we've been waiting for arrives.
