We understand the need to de-ice the tracks for our safety, but is it really safe to keep the chemicals and electric gear needed to accomplish that task in a CTA train car, filled with passengers, and no CTA employee standing guard. In fact, should this stuff be on a train with passengers* even if it is guarded?

Discuss.

*I mean, given how sane every person who takes the CTA is, what could possibly go wrong?
