Watch Out For Strong Storms On Your Commute Home Tonight

If you were searching for a reason to cut out of work a little early, here ya go. The National Weather Service just shared this handy little photo that shows the strong storms we were talking about Wednesday. And they are due to hit Chicago just in time for the evening rush. Wonderful. The drizzle we've had all day just had to wait for perfect timing.

Expect brief heavy downpours, cloud to ground lightning (pretty but scary!) and possible small hail. Good news, the storms are fast moving! Bad news, behind the storms is a cold front with very strong southwest winds possible including gusts up to 50-60 mph.

At least it isn't another six inches of snow?
