That 50-degree weather flew by like the winds that carried it to Chicago and now we're left with those same (slightly diminished) winds and seasonal temperatures. Oh, and traffic is snarled all over area expressways as we're now waist deep in the morning commute while CTA and Metra have minor delays. And all that rain and melted snow means we're under a flood watch through Saturday.

As for today's forecast it's snowing in spots currently. Expect more light snow today and high winds with the mercury topping out near freezing along with some spots of sunshine today. The cold and light snow will continue overnight as temps plunge to the low 20s, setting the stage for a cold blast this weekend.
