You may want to mark this event down in ink. We're huge fans of Alex Kotlowitz here at Chicagoist, while Ta-Neishi Coates is one of the more personable writers at The Atlantic who writes smartly and with authority across a range of subjects. For younger readers Coates is arguably the best writer on modern race relations in America today.

Coates and Kotlowitz are featured in a discussion beginning Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at Northwestern University's Peggy Dow Helmerlich Auditorium, Annie May Swift Hall. The event begins with the discussion followed by a book signing; both Coates and Kotlowitz will have books available for sale.
