The Bulls used a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Mavericks in an exciting game in Dallas Friday and win eight of their last nine games. Taj Gibson continued his strong play with 20 points and15 rebounds in a reserve role. Jimmy Butler added 19 points and seven rebounds, Kirk Hinrich scored 17 and Mike Dunleavy added 16 as the Bulls fought back from a 16-point first half deficit to take their first lead midway through the third quarter.

The Bulls defense tightened in the second half and they held Dallas to 15 fourth quarter points. Monta Ellis led the Mavs with 20points. Vince Carter and Dirk Nowitzki added 15 apiece.
