Chicagost Weekend Theater: Wrekmeister Harmonies - 'You've Always Meant So Much to Me' [Live at Bohemian National Cemetery]

By Jon Graef in Arts & Entertainment on Mar 9, 2014 7:00PM

Having just played both an Empty Bottle free Monday show, as well as yesterday's Hideout SXSW send-off party, now's just as good as time as any to highlight the unique compositional work of Wrekmeister Harmonies, the moniker of JR Robinson. Given the depths of Wrekmeister's sound, which ventures from ambient, to jazz, to post-rock, to metal, a live performance amongst the many players it takes to recreate that sound is a rarity indeed.

So two performances in a span of a week is something else entirely. Before Wrekmeister Harmonies heads down to South-by-Southwest, check out a sample of the performance of last year's album, You've Always Meant So Much To Me, at Bohemian National Cemetery. Something truly to behold. For more details on last year's performance, go here.
