-Our friends over at Bang Bang Pie Shop are in negotiations for a Pilsen storefront that they are planning on turning into a "pie cafeteria." They are celebrating their 2nd year anniversary at their Logan Square spot, which while charming is proving to be cramped with all the swift business they bring in. The new location will allow for a larger kitchen to meet the ever growing demands for their goods and will also help offer up more pie making classes which have proven popular in the past at the shop. -Speaking of Bang Bang, we were raving about their Fat Tuesday collaboration with Joe Fish last week. You can now head over and check out more delicious offerings from Joe Fish, who open tonight at 445 N. Dearborn St. The menu offers a large variety of fresh seafood and pasta options. Bang Bang biscuits even make an appearance as well! Eater has more of the menu to check out. [Eater Chicago]

-The husband-and-wife team of chefs Beverly Kim and John Clark are back with a new spot set to open in April in Avondale. Parachute will be located at 3500 N. Elston Ave, have a liquor license, seat 40 and will concentrate on Korean-American flavors. Chicago magazine has some more details on the food and the restaurant's planned program of breads from Asia. [Chicago magazine]

-Food & Wine announced their 2014 Sommeliers of the Year which includes one local pick. Congrats to Michael Muser of Grace! They praised Muser for keeping his markups low and his unabashed contagious warmth when talking about the wines at Grace. [Food & Wine]

-Quinoa seems pretty wholesome and honest, but not as much as a customer last week at Veg Head market who left cash on the counter after leaving with a serving of breakfast quinoa when the store was accidentally left unlocked and unattended. Owner Lynn Kardasz left her shop to run some errands and didn't realize that the lock on the door was broken, popping it back open. When she returned the only thing missing from the store was the serving of quinoa and six dollars left on the counter. The kicker is the quinoa is only $4.50, not a bad tip. [DNAinfo Chicago]
