Winter has been a cruel, cruel beast, making this vernal equinox exciting as a chocolate milkshake even if we are still wearing our gloves—because progress, people. So you might not be able to stand that egg on end (though it’s always worth a shot), but this is still one Thursday worth breaking out the bubbly for. It’s also the inauguration of weekly oysters and bubbles at the Bedford, a sweet deal to usher in the waxing daylight.

Every Thursday night, all oysters on the half shell are now $1 each, while champagne and sparkling wines are available half price per glass or bottle. So sure, aphrodisiacs may sound a little redundant when we’re putting the snow boots behind us, but we’ll take it.
