Play hooky today but keep your smartphones handy so you can read us. Today could be the best day of weather we've seen in months. What's that? Skilling Central is calling for 60 degree temperatures today? That hasn't happened around here since early December. Unfortunately for those of us who don't live near O'Hare where the official city reading is recorded it will feel—wait for it—cooler by the lake. (And doesn't it feel good after the winter we've endured to be able to say that?)

The rest of the forecast calls for a mix of clouds and sun before the clouds break overnight and we have a slight return to chilly temps this weekend with highs in the 30s. Things will stay that way through the early part of the week before climbing into the 40s and back to possibly 60 degrees by next weekend. The best part? No snow. We can begin the healing.
