The full 2014 Lollapalooza line-up has been released, and while there are no surprises (really, who didn't think Outkast would headline) it appears to be a solid offering for fans looking to party the weekend away in Chicago.

Of local note, and again no real surprise given his stratospheric rise in the last year, Chance the Rapper made the cut, along with Lolla alums Flosstradamus.

We also find it notable that two of the six headliners are hip-hop acts. No, neither Eminem nor Outkast would exactly be characterized as daring picks but when you're trying to appease 100,000+ attendees—99.9% of whom bought their tickets without being told a single band in the line-up—daring isn't a tactic organizers would employ.

This is Lollapalooza's 10th year calling Chicago home, and with this line-up it's also the year the fest has finally transitioned from a traveling freak show to a summer destination event safe for families, teens and bros wanting to get their Bud on. Ultimately though, wasn't Lollapalooza really always about Perry Farrell's wish to just throw a great big party everyone would want to come to? Well, for better or worse, we'd say he's reached that goal.
