A month ago we were worried there would be snow on the ground for the start of baseball season. Silly us. Aside from some 40 mph gusts the weather couldn't be more perfect for Opening Day at Sox Park this afternoon, with a high in the 60s and sunshine when the White Sox take the field at 3:05 p.m. The Cubs open the season this morning in Pittsburgh, meanwhile, where it also should be sunny and near 60.

Spring is here.

Clouds will roll in this evening bringing rain with them overnight and into the morning as the temps dip into the upper 30s.
