Pencil This In: Creation Records Showcase At Maria's

Creation Records was instrumental in helping launch the careers of My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, Slowdive, The Boo Radleys, Swervedriver, The Cramps and even Oasis during its existence. With the recent reappearances of MBV, Slowdive and Swervedriver it's time to reassess the label's legacy and that's exactly what will happen at Maria's Packaged Goods and Community Bar starting 9 p.m. Thursday, April 3. DJs will spin some choice tracks from bands associated with Creation Records all night long. (960 W. 31st St.)
