April, wisdom holds, is a time for showers and we may need to break out galoshes and rain gear by Thursday morning. Today's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies this morning before thicker clouds roll in and bring with them a chance of rain. Skilling Central and Accuweather disagree on where the mercury will land. WGN's Chicago Weather Center has the high pegged in the uppper 40s; Accuweather has us penciled in for a 43-degree day. If it rains it won't matter what the temperature is because the prevailing feeling will be raw.

The rain is expected to continue overnight with thunderstorms that will continue into Thursday. At least it isn't snow and we aren't freezing.
