Pencil This In: Smoke The Goat Opening Day Party At Sheffield's

The Cubs' home opener is Friday and Sheffield's and New Holland Brewing are teaming up once again for their third annual Smoke the Goat opening day party. Playing on superstition and Cubs lore, Sheffield's is smoking a goat in the hopes of good fortune for the Lovable Losers this season. New Holland will be bringing a selection of rare beers from their cellar, exotic beer cocktails will be served and Sheffield's brunch buffet will be available for folks who don't want to partake of the goat.

It all starts at 10 a.m. Sheffield's is located at 3258 N. Sheffield Ave.
