We aren't going to complain about some cool temperatures and rain after making it through the coldest winter in over a century. Let the rain fall and according to both Skilling Central and Accuweather, it will for much of the day. There will be a respite in the precipitation this afternoon and evening before business picks up again overnight. The rains are expected to be the heaviest the Chicago area has seen since October.
As for the temperatures, we're already at or near today's forecast highs with winds from the east keeping the mercury from climbing higher. Those winds will stay with us through Friday but a boost in the temps is expected starting this evening. Otherwise, it's going to be damp, chilly and raw—April in Chicago.
