Kansas City 4, White Sox 3
Kansas City is the White Sox new bogeyman, especially when Bruce Chen is on the mound. Chen struck out seven and allowed a single unearned run in 6-1/3 innings but had a win taken from him when the Sox were able to chip away at the Royals relievers. John Danks, meanwhile, walked four and allowed three runs in seven innings.

Philadelphia 2, Cubs 0
At least the White Sox were able to score some runs. The Cubs inability to plate runners was once again on full display at Wrigley Field. The offensive futility wasted a quality start by Jeff Samardzija, who allowed two runs in seven innings as the Cubs rotation is showing signs of being a strength for this ballclub.

Bulls 96, Washington 78
The Bulls win streak now stands at five games after a strong performance against the Wizards in Washington. Defense ruled for Chicago as they held the Wizards to a season-low 26 first half points. D.J. Augustin scored 26 points and Joakim Noah scored 21 points and grabbed 21 rebounds for Chicago.
