Last we checked on Shake Shack’s pending Chicago arrival, it was truly, really, cross one’s heart and hope to die happening.

The long march to a Chicago Shake Shack continues. The company, owned by New York-based restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, is now hiring managers for its 66 E. Ohio location. That’s the current spot of a Harley-Davidson gift shop. Qualified candidates must have 1-3 years management experience and be “energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for managing people and fostering a great sense of teamwork.” Excuses me for a moment while I polish my resume.

The job posting on Shake Shack’s website leads to the obvious question: when will Chicago’s Shake Shack open? A Shake Shack rep told Eater Chicago “it’s looking like we’ll open sometime this fall.” They’ll certainly have plenty of foot traffic between Mag Mile shoppers and people visiting the red-hot Eataly that a Shake Shack will have to be very ineptly run to fail in that location.
