Today's Weather: Just Drop It

There comes a time when we need to get past the fact we endured a winter where the average temperature was 22 degrees. Monday evening's snowfall was well past that point. One would have thought the collective meltdown of "Not more snow? Boo! Hiss!!" preceded the Rapture. But we're still here, this is Chicago and, even though it's rare, sometimes it snows in mid-April. Keep calm, watch The Wire on Xfinity On Demand, pass the bourbon and make sure you have Honey Nut Cheerios in stock every time Omar Little is on screen.
You need to set some goodwill aside so you can bitch about the hot muggy summer that's a few months away, so don't complain about today's forecast with its high of 40 degrees and partly sunny skies. By this evening the winds will shift and we'll be on our way back to temperatures more reasonable for this time of year by Wednesday. But no more freaking out about snow, people. You're better than this.
