Police Seeking Information On CTA Yellow Line Attack

Police have released video footage of an attack on the CTA Yellow Line last month and are asking for help identifying the attacker.

On the evening of Friday March 28 a man boarded the Skokie Swift train and began yelling at other passengers. He directed at least one comment towards the victim who told him to leave him alone. The attacker then grabbed the victim's jacket, pulled it over his head and started punching him. The attacker knocked the victim to the floor of the train and kicked him in the face according to police. The victim, described only as a senior citizen by police, was taken to an area hospital for severe bruising.

The description according to police and provided by NBC Chicago is as follows:


The attacker was described as an Asian man between 22 and 27 years of age. He stands about 5 feet, 4 inches and 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, police said. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a red iron cross logo on the front, a black jacket with logos on the upper sleeves of both arms and the letter "A"on the back of the jacket with an animal logo on the front, black jeans and black gym shoes, police said.
