Panda Riot, a Chicago quartet with a brisk, danceable pop take on shoegazer, came out with a record in 2013 called Northern Automatic Music. It's an album filled with singable, poppy melodies, upbeat tempos, and swirling, psychedelic guitar tones. Buoyed by groove-accentuating baselines, Music makes for great springtime listening.
But if shoegazer fans are feeling in a more visual mood, they can then check out Panda Riot's new, grainy video for Northern Automatic Music lead-off track "Amanda In the Clouds." It's grainy, colorful clip filled with lots of creative little touches. My Old Kentucky Blog premiered the clip earlier in the week, and the band uploaded the video on its YouTube page on Tuesday.
