Pencil This In: Found Footage Festival At Music Box

By Lisa White in Arts & Entertainment on May 1, 2014 5:45PM

2014_5_1PTI.jpg The annual touring Found Footage Festival that showcases the oddities of the VHS era returns to the Music Box this evening with a fresh set of vintage finds. Curators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher lead the audience through a maze of video delights, providing commentary throughout the evening.

The Music Box teases some of what to expect tonight, including a 1997 instructional video titled "How to Have Cybersex on the Internet," 101 Jesusus collected from dozens of religious videos and a 1994 video for dog breeders about a process known as "whelping." If you are a fan of the strange and odd (and who with a sense of humor isn't?) the Music Box is the place to be this evening.

The Found Footage Festival is tonight, May 1 at the Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport Ave.) Doors are at 9:15 p.m. and the show starts at 9:30 p.m. Ticket are still available online for $12 and the show is 18+
