If your cocktail of choice weekend mornings leans toward the spicier side instead of the standard bottomless mimosa pitchers, you may want to grab a ticket to the latest culinary festival to hit the food scene. Chicago’s Bloody Mary Competition will take over Park West June 8 to honor the classic brunch cocktail favorite.

Your $25 ticket gets you vouchers to sample Bloody Mary offerings from fifteen different bars and restaurants from all around Chicago. Attendees will cast votes to decide the winner based on display, taste and overall presentation. There will also be prize giveaways, snacks and a cash bar offering Tito’s vodka (the sponsor of the event) specials, including mimosa and bellinis for your friends who don’t appreciate the fine specimen known as a Bloody Mary.

According to the RedEye, expect offerings from local favorites including Fountainhead, Longman & Eagle, Three Aces, Stanley’s Kitchen and Tap and more. Also the samples will be two-ounces, which means if you try an option from each competitor, your Sunday will be fueled by 30 ounces of Bloody Mary magic. A Sunday afternoon nap might be in order.

Chicago’s Bloody Mary Competition is Sunday June 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Park West (322 W Armitage Ave) Tickets go on-sale today, May 2, at noon and are $25 each. The event is 21+
