Chicagoist Weekend Theatre: An '80s Immigrant Tale

Watch filmmaker John Sanner capture the arrival of a Chinese-Vietnamese family to Deerfield, a suburb of Chicago, in the 1980s. The Do family came to Deerfield by way of a refuge camp in Hong Kong, and were sponsored by a local Lutheran church. The 16-minute documentary was uploaded by the Chicago Film Archives in March.
