Good morning, everyone. Could this be the week where our slow start to spring kicks into high gear and Chicago, along with most of the Midwest, catches up with the rest of the country? It's possible if the extended forecast holds true. Today, however, we only have to deal with partly sunny skies this morning which become increasingly cloudier as the day progresses and highs in the mid-60s. That's the weather I enjoyed while I was on vacation last week and that's nothing to get down about.

What you want to steel your loins and break out the shorts for is the extended forecast. Wednesday and Thursday call for highs in the mid-80s. That's well past spring cleaning weather and into open all the windows and exorcise the final remnants of polar vortex funk from your homes.
