Twin Peaks Releases First Taste Of New Music

Chicago's Twin Peaks aren't releasing their sophomore effort Wild Onion until August, but if the rest of it sounds like new single "Flavor," we're now eager with anticipation. This writer has had a hard time getting a good grasp on the band since their recorded music in the past could be all over the place and their past live shows didn't help solidify their direction in one way or the other. "Flavor" finds the band making peace with their tendency to flip back and forth from dream-pop to garage-chunk to create a perfect compromise of the two approaches.

Twin Peaks' next Chicago show is July 19 at The Pitchfork Music Festival.
