Pencil This In: Story Club's 'Crosstown Classic'
By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on May 20, 2014 5:30PM
The monthly live lit series Story Club and its South Side counterpart, Story Club South Side, have become ingrained into the city's live lit performance scene. Tonight, to celebrate Story Club South Side's one year anniversary, Story Club founder and host Dana Norris travels down to Bridgeport to take on Story Club South Side host Andrew Marikis in a live lit battle for the ages and civic pride. Norris and Marikis will choose teams of two readers each from a pool consisting of Guts and Glory founder Keith Ecker, "Welcome to Pleasuretown" producer Erin Kahoa, storyteller Lily Be and performer Jen Bosworth.
The battle begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Co-Prosperity Sphere (3219-21 S. Morgan St.). There is a suggested $5 donation. Norris and Marikis will continue the battle June 5 at Holiday Club.
