Food And Drink Picks For Memorial Day

If you aren't going out of town, there is plenty to do in Chicago this Memorial Day weekend.

If you are into beer, this Saturday the West Loop Craft Beer fest brings craft breweries from all over the country together for a huge block party. Tickets are $50 for general admission and $75 for earlier VIP admission. If you love beer, but don't like being outside, maybe Saturday's Brew LaLa features some of Chicago's established and up and coming craft breweries at Chop Shop. Tickets are $35.

You can also enjoy Logan Square Farmer's market, which opened for the season last weekend. After hitting the farmer's market Billy Sunday (3143 W Logan Blvd.) is doing their first "Grilly Sunday" offering diners grilled skirt steak, sourdough, asparagus, and ramps with a cold Praga pilsner for $25. Sunday night, nearby Analogue (2523 N Milwaukee Ave.) is hosting a Memorial Day Burger Bash.

On Memorial Day, Publican Quality Meats (825 W Fulton Market.) features a special menu including their nacho-quiles (nacho sausage, tortillas, queso fresco, cilantro) and fried chicken with waffles.
