Pencil This In: Goran Ivanovic Trio At 27 Live

Croatian-born, Chicago-based guitar master Goran Ivanovic is fronting a new trio featuring bassist Matt Ulery and drummer Pete Tashjian which is another extension of Ivanovic's ongoing efforts to fuse the Macedonian music of his homeland with Latin and Flamenco guitar traditions. Anyone who has seen Ivanovic in concert with his band Eastern Blok, his duo collaboration with Andres Kapsalis or in a solo setting knows he can be a mesmerizing presence live. When the trio hits the stage tonight at 27 Live in Evanston this should be a concert not to be missed for fans of acoustic guitar. Tickets are still available as of post time here.
