On June 19 at Architectural Artifacts in Lakeview, Wine Enthusiast magazine will throw the Red and White Bash, a wine tasting event with a carnival-esque theme. The party takes a more modern approach to your typical wine tasting. “Our new philosophy is one that is approachable, educational and experiential for not only wine itself but the entire lifestyle surrounding the beverage, “ states Jacqueline Strum of Wine Enthusiast. The party will feature a diverse representation red, white, bubbly and rosés.

In addition to the wines, a caterer will serve farm-to-table, contemporary American food along side an array of local Chicago vendors including the Boka team and E+O Food and Drink. If you find yourself tiring of wine (unlikely, but possible), craft brews from Unibroue and an array of spirits are also available. Local band Brooke and the Nice Things will provide a soulful ambiance and hair and makeup services will be on site to ensure that all guests look like they’ve been plucked straight out of Moulin Rouge.

All proceeds benefit Wine to Water, a charity that focuses on bringing clean water to under developed countries. Tickets are on sale now for $95 per guest. Don’t forget to sport your best red and white outfit. The Red & White Bash will take place on Thursday, June 19 from 7 - 10 p.m. at 4325 N Ravenswood Ave.
