2014_06_beyonce_tribute.jpg We know that arts programs are under attack as school budgets grow ever tighter so here's your chance to inject some much-needed cash into a local music program while shaking your ass and having fun. The Drummond Thomas Montessori music program is throwing a pretty inventive fundraiser, invoking the spirit of Beyoncé—herself a one-time Montessori student—and putting on a show with local bands covering selections from Bey's catalog.

This tribute to Beyoncé is bringing out some heavy hitters including members of Mahjonng, Jeanine O' Toole of Bare Mutants and The 1900s, Tim Kinsella, Bob Nanna, Alex White, Jes Skolnik and a bunch of others. Gossip Wolf let leak there's a good chance Girl Group Chicago will perform "Halo" so that should get you all riled up with expected thrills and chills.

When else are you going to have a chance to see Beyoncé run through so many musical interpretation AND have a chance to win tickets to Pitchfork? Probably never, so you should probably get thee to Empty Bottle tonight!

A Tribute to Beyoncé to benefit the Drummond Montessori music program is tonight, June 6, at Empty Bottle, 1035 N Western, 9 p.m., $10, 21+
