New Belgium Clips Beer & Film Tour Stops In Noble Square

By Staff in Arts & Entertainment on Jun 6, 2014 3:00PM

Chicagoans looking to fuse their love of craft brews and short films, tonight's summer festival installment is for you. Cheers to a good cause and kick off the weekend with the Clips Beer and Film Tour, which arrives for the Chicago leg of its coast-to-coast tour tonight, Friday June 6, in Noble Square's Eckhart Park. In its fifth year, the event, sponsored by New Belgium Brewing, offers tastings of rare beers and an exclusive showing of 20 contest winning, fan-submitted videos on New Belgium’s signature inflatable screen.

Sip one of over 18 beers on tap, include New Belgium’s rare Lips of Faith Series, in either 3 ounce samples (create your own flight!) or 12 ounce full pours while enjoying eats from food trucks favorites like Tamale Spaceship, The Slide Ride and 5411 Empanadas.

Film showings begin as the sun goes down. So select your brews, bring a blanket and celebrate the work of up-and-comers in film.

The event is free and best of all, 100% of beer proceeds benefit local non-profits. This year’s profits will go to The Recyclery Collective in Rogers Park and Alliance for the Great Lakes.

Eckhart Park is located at 1330 West Chicago Avenue, 7:30 p.m.
