Pencil This In: The L.A.T.E. Ride

The first day of summer also marks the L.A.T.E. (Long After Twilight Ends) Ride starting and ending at Buckingham Fountain June 21 and 22. The pre-ride festivities begin 10:30 p.m. on the 21st with a host of entertainment and snack options before the ride commences 1 a.m. on the 22nd. Bicyclists will then wind their way through a 25-mile route encompassing downtown and the West and North sides before hitting the Lakefront Trail and ending back at Buckingham Fountain in time to see the sun rise.
Online registration is still open. Interested participants may also register on site tomorrow night. Your registration fee will go toward the advocacy and volunteer programs at Friends of the Parks.
