Chicago’s hood rich hometown duo Flosstradamus are back this week with the video for their trapped out 2013 single "Mosh Pit" featuring Atlanta rapper Casino. The gaudy spectacle features a laundry list of rap video cliches like the clique mean mugging in an alley before eventually taking their party to the club. What more can we expect from content that makes its premiere on WorldStarHipHop?

Artistic direction aside, the track and video both feature Floss taking another stab at the fusion of rave and hip-hop culture. It’s a marriage that is poised to dominate dance music in the coming months. What the self-proclaimed “HDYBYZ” lack in subtlety they make up for with a frantic mix of 808s and hardstyle kicks. This approach to trap music is what launched these two out of Chicago in the first place.

To coincide with the release of the Mosh Pit video, the duo is also hosting a remix contest with Beatport. The winner gets an official release on Ultra Records, a label responsible for artists ranging from Kaskade to Benny Benassi. That’s the kind of exposure that could launch Chicago’s next small time selector to a festival mainstage.

Flosstradamus returns to the city that made them on August 3rd for Lollapalooza.
