By Melissa McEwen in Food on Jun 23, 2014 3:15PM

2014_06_meathook.png Tom Mylan of Brooklyn's The Meat Hook is partnering with his Chicago equivalent, Rob Levitt of The Butcher And Larder for a night of delicious grilling and butchery demos on Tuesday June 24 at 6 p.m at Honey Butter Fried Chicken (3361 N Elston Ave.).

Mylan is touring the country to promote his new book, The Meat Hook Meat Book, a cookbook, a guide to buying great meat, and a how-to on basic butchery. Mylan and Levitt plan on showcasing a series of oft-overlooked beef cuts that can take your barbecue skills above just burgers and sausages.

Tickets are $55 and include a signed copy of the book, food, and beer. They are also offering a partner ticket that is food for two and one copy of the book for $65. Call The Butcher & Larder at 773-687-8280 to reserve a spot.
