This month’s edition of The Whistler’s popular Books Club series explores Don Draper’s drink of choice. Tonight’s event will feature variations on the Old Fashioned and explore recipes from New York Times cocktail writer Robert Simonson’s book The Old-Fashioned. While we’re sure each recipe will feature unique ingredients, we’re sure there will be plenty of orange peels and cherry garnishes to go around.

As you cozy up to the bar, you can enjoy records spun by some of the top Old Fashioned-makers throughout the city. Here’s a schedule of all guests DJs who will come out from behind the bar and mix it up on the decks:

6 p.m. - Billy Helmkamp of The Whistler
7 p.m. - Joe Darling of Slippery Slope and Scofflaw
9 p.m. - Austin Skiles of Barrelhouse Flat and Lone Wolf
11 p.m. - Robby Haynes of Analogue

The Whistler is located at 2421 N Milwaukee Ave, 21+
