For some of us a night out involves dinner and drinks in a single place. For others it means a drink here, some food somewhere else, and more drinks at a third (or fourth) place before winding down the night at some half-empty hole in the wall where we've talked the kitchen into making something for us even though the cooks want to get the hell out of Dodge and do their own crawl.

Brewers know the latter especially and the folks from Solemn Oath Brewing and Penrose Brewing have joined forces for a massive neighborhood crawl this evening along Armitage Avenue, hitting upon some of the most popular watering holes and restaurants in Palmer Square and Logan Square.

The genius of the "SOB x Penrose Neighborhood Party: Humboldt" is you can join in at any point along the route, starting 6 p.m. at Table, Donkey and Stick (2728 W. Armitage). Reservations are required there but you can join the scrum at Parson's Chicken and Fish (2952 W. Armitage) at 7:30p.m., Scofflaw (3201 W. Armitage) at 9 p.m. or 10:30 at Go Tavern and Liquors (3219 W. Armitage). You can also leave at any point on the crawl or meet up with the true believers for a journey off the deep end at Marble Grill and Patio (3281 W. Armitage).

Solemn Oath and Penrose will have beers available for sale at each stop along the crawl. If you can have each selection at the various stops you will be doing better than us.
