The weather continues to make Chicago look like San Francisco with all the fog hanging in the air but things are expected to warm up this weekend and in a hurry. Not that we're complaining; the air conditioner has still not been placed in the window here at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters but that may change shortly.
Today's forecast calls for some rain this afternoon and highs ranging from the lower 70s near the lake to the upper 80s in the outlying suburbs. The showers are expected to continue tonight and into the weekend as the humidity will rise and things begin to feel like a Chicago summer around here.
