You can exit your basements and storm shelters now, damas y caballeros. The skies are blue and the sun is out, attempting to dry the awe-inspiring quasi-monsoon that hit Chicago last night. Today's forecast calls for things to take a turn for the Baby Bear, with drier air reaching the area, highs in the low-80s and some showers in the afternoon and early evening, but nothing like last night when the side streets were flooding. There is still flooding in parts, including I-190 near O'Hare Airport so do check CTA, Metra and traffic reports as needed if you need to be somewhere at a specific time.
